How to Eat & Train For

Your Body Type

ECTOMORPH  25% Protein 55% Carbs 20% Fats

You have a super fast metabolism. 
You can eat junk food all the time but you don’t gain any weight. It’s hard for you to gain muscle no matter how hard you work out.

To gain size and strength, you need to do compound exercises such as the Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift. Stick to 6-8 reps per set. Eat in a caloric surplus – don’t be afraid to eat more carbs and calories than your body needs.

MESOMORPH  30% Protein 40% Carbs 30% Fats

It’s easy for you to gain muscle and lose weight quickly. You have an athletic build, broad shoulders like a running back or lineman in football. 

You have a higher ratio of fast twitch muscles, so you can incorporate isolations in the lower rep range. Stick to 6-8 reps per set.

Eat in a caloric surplus – don’t be afraid to eat more carbs and calories than your body needs.

ENDOMORPH  35% Protein 25% Carbs 40% Fats

You have a shorter, more stocky build. You can gain weight and muscle fairly quickly, but you retain more fat than a mesomorph.

Hit the same body parts multiple times per week. Stay within 8-15 reps per set. Include some steady state cardio or high interval training (HIIT) on off days into your workout plan. Stay away from eating lots of carbohydrates.

When I walk in I feel like it’s walking in to the cheers bar, where everybody knows your name. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging. Currently I do personal training with Jeff, and he’s awesome – working with me to achieve my goals. 

Akiel is my nutritionist and he’s always there when I have questions in regards to foods and meal planning. Overall, great place to start or continue to work out. Highly recommend!

Joining Strength-N-U has been one of the best decisions I made this year! After years of being inconsistent with the gym, I’ve been able to make some major transformations to my diet, strength, and overall mental health.

A huge shoutout to my personal trainer, Roman Volchek. His expertise, patience, and consistent motivation have been critical in helping me achieve my fitness goals.

Through the group classes I’ve also had the chance to work with Karisa, Josh, AJ, and Kyle. All four of them are very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The massage therapy is also great too; Bryan gave me some great exercises to prevent upper-body tightness from long hours at a desk.

The facility is well-organized, always clean, and all the members are very supportive of each other. I look forward to continuing my journey at SNU!

Tommy’s attention to detail and time taken to analyze, heat treat, massage affected areas if and when needed before adjusting is absolutely amazing. Have had 3 prior Dr’s who only adjusted, never took the time to assess and go the extra mile. Thanks Tommy!

I went here with really bad shoulder pain. Dr Josh was able to fix it. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend coming if you have any issues.

Even on a heavy snow day, the instructors did not cancel the group fitness class for 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Amazing!!!!

A big shout out to Dr.Tommy Wong. I had been struggling with a sports injury for a year. Tried a few places but they couldn’t help much. I met him on the same day I felt relieved. And the next session I’m perfectly happy. Honestly he is the best. The improvements were so quick and his ability to diagnose the issue is so accurate. I strongly recommend him. Thank you 🙏🏽

I was having such bad trouble with my lower back and leg that I thought I would not be able to participate in certain physical activities again. Dr. Tommy Wong identified the issue, worked on me with a few different therapies and gave me exercises to stretch adn strengthen the area. I am so happy with the results. Also, Dr. Wong is an extremely nice guy with a fantastic bedside manner.
